"Kind of clunky and confusing"
I don’t know, the interface just feels a bit all over the place. Like, I kept having to stop and figure out where things were, which made it harder to use than it should be. It’s not unusable, but it definitely feels messy and not very smooth.

"Gets expensive quickly"
Snowflake has worked fine for us overall, but the pricing can climb faster than expected. For the smaller workloads we’re running, it’s hard to feel like we’re really getting enough value for the cost

"I shared some tables with our partners..."
I shared some tables with our partners and it was just... really smooth. No weird back-and-forth or extra hassle. It kind of surprised me how painless the whole thing felt.

"Pretty handy once you get it going"
I’ve been using Snowflake to automate some of our data jobs, and overall it’s been a really solid tool. The tasks and streams have saved us a bunch of manual work, which is great because nobody wants to babysit jobs all day. I mean, I already have enough tabs open as it is, half of them probably not even work-related at this point. The setup did take a little time to wrap my head around, and some of the error messages could definitely be clearer. There were a few moments where I was just staring at the screen like, okay, what are you actually trying to tell me? But once things are configured and running, it’s been dependable. It’s not perfect, and there are a few rough spots, but it’s genuinely useful and has made our workflow a lot smoother...

"The integrations mostly do what theyre supposed to..."
The integrations mostly do what theyre supposed to, but when something went wrong, figuring it out was kind of a pain. Its not bad overall, just not as smooth as I hoped.

"Move was easier than I figured it would be"
We moved a few of our older data jobs over to Snowflake, and it went smoother than I had in my head expected. Most of the setup was clear, and the docs were useful when we got stuck on things. A couple of queries did need some adjusting, and permissions took me a while to get my brain around, so perfect it wasn’t. But overall, the migration was way less painful than I was bracing for.

"Plays nicely with our stack, even if I’m still torn"
Snowflake has been painless for us to plug into the tools we already use day to day. We’ve got it running with Tableau, dbt, and a few Python scripts, and for the most part it just does what it’s supposed to without turning into a whole project.
The only annoying stretch was the initial setup, especially around permissions and some ODBC driver weirdness. I’ll admit I’ve always had a soft spot for our older data platform, so I was kind of looking for reasons to be skeptical, but once we got past that setup phase, Snowflake was steady enough that it won me over a bit.
It’s not flawless, and the documentation can feel scattered when you’re trying to track down something specific. Still, the third-party support is strong, and even though part of me still wants to stay loyal to what we used before, Snowflake has made a good case for itself

"Hard to get into, and the reminders got on my nerves"
I really wanted to like it, but getting started felt way harder than it needed to be. There’s definitely a steep learning curve, and before I felt comfortable using it, I was already getting hit with constant reminders and nudges. They came off way too aggressive and just made the whole experience more annoying.

"Setting up roles and permissions in snowflake was..."
Setting up roles and permissions in snowflake was straightforward. Our team can manage who gets access to what without turning it into a whole ordeal, which is more than I can say for some tools that seem to make basic admin tasks harder than they need to be. For day-to-day access control, it’s been easy to work with
"Solid once it’s running, but my first impression was a bumpy setup"
My first impression of snowflake was a little mixed. We brought it in for a data warehouse project, and while it does work well once everything is up and running, getting to that point took longer than we expected. Query performance has been good, so no complaints there, but the initial setup left us scratching our heads a few times, especially around permissions and cost configuration. Support was fine, but not especially memorable. Overall, I’d say it’s a good tool, just not as easy to get started with as I was hoping based on all the positive things I’d heard.

"Works great for our warehouse"
We use Snowflake for our data warehouse. It has been really smooth so far. Queries are fast. Scaling is simple. I also like that I do not have to worry much about storage. It took a little time to get used to. But overall, I am very happy with it

"Getting reporting help was such a headache"
We use Snowflake mostly for analytics and reporting, anytime a report breaks or the numbers don’t line up, getting support has been a mess. The replies are slow, then they ask for screenshots, then they ask for logs, then somehow they ask for the same screenshots and logs again. It just goes in circles.
What frustrates me most is that it doesn’t feel like they really understand the reporting side of things. They seem more focused on the warehouse setup, which is fine, but that doesn’t help much when we’re stuck with broken reports. We kept losing time on basic issues, and for what Snowflake costs, I really expected better support.
"Pricing seemed clear to me"
I’m not always the best at spotting extra fees, so I was a little worried at first, but the pricing was easy for us to understand. I didn’t notice any hidden surprises, and everything felt straightforward enough.

"Onboarding felt way more confusing than it should have"
I signed up assuming the training would actually walk me through things, but the onboarding was kind of a mess. There were a ton of docs, but not many clear step-by-step instructions, so I kept getting stuck. When I reached out to support, they mostly just sent more links, which didn’t really help much. It almost felt like they expected me to already know how everything worked. Maybe it’s fine for someone with experience, but as a new user, it was frustrating
"Support actually got back fast"
I had a query that kept failing, so I reached out to support. They actually got back to me quickly and explained everything in a simple way. It was fixed the same day, which really helped.

"My first impression was that it felt..."
My first impression was that it felt dependable, and that’s mostly stayed true as things have grown. It handles scaling better than I expected and hasn’t really given us trouble as demand picked up

"We use Snowflake pretty much every day..."
We use Snowflake pretty much every day for reports and team dashboards, most of the time it does the job. Queries usually run fast enough, and when everything is working normally, I don’t really think about it much.
The confusing part is the reliability. We’ve had a few random slowdowns that came out of nowhere, plus one outage that threw off our morning reporting. Support did send updates, but at first they were kind of vague, so we were sitting there like, okay… what’s actually happening??
For what it costs, I expected it to feel a little more dependable. It’s still useful and I wouldn’t say we regret using it, but I also wouldn’t call it totally worry-free...

"Good product, but support was slow"
To be fair, the product itself works fine and I don’t really have major complaints there. But when I ran into an issue, support took days to get back to me and I felt like I was being passed from one person to another. It got frustrating, especially when something wasn’t working and I just needed a clear answer.

"Governance feels more complicated than it needs to be"
From my experience, the governance side got confusing quickly. Tags and permissions started feeling messy faster than I expected, and I can imagine other customers running into the same issue if they’re trying to keep things organized across a team.

"Works across clouds, but it’s not always seamless"
Not gonna lie, Snowflake has been solid for us when working across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. We used it in a couple different setups, and for the most part, things connected without too much trouble. That said, a few integrations were more frustrating than I expected, and switching between cloud environments wasn’t always super clear. Overall, it’s decent, but I wouldn’t say it was as smooth or simple as I hoped.
